We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, PayPal and Money Order.

We do accept money orders through the mail. Canadian or international money orders must be drawn on a US bank in US dollars (check with your local bank for information). To make a purchase with a money order, place your order online and select the money order payment option. Then write your order confirmation number on the money order and mail it to the address at the top of this page. As soon as your payment arrives and clears our bank, we'll activate your order and ship it out immediately!

Just email sales@animenation.com with your order number, or as much information about your order as possible. We'll cancel the order right away. If you paid in advance via PayPal or Money Order, you will be refunded back using the same method.

Items ordered in advance of their release date will be shipped as soon as they are available. Please note that release dates are supplied by manufacturers and may be subject to change. It's not unusual for AnimeNation to receive new releases a few days before or after official release dates.

If you use a credit card as payment for a preorder item, you will not be charged until the item is shipped. If you pay via PayPal or Money Order, payment must be received and verified before the order will be activated. No COD payments.

In the interest of getting your anime to you as quickly as possible, in stock items are normally shipped immediately. Temporarily out of stock items are placed on "backorder" and are shipped when they come back in stock. If your order needs to be delivered in multiple shipments, the first package will be sent by the shipping method you selected. Additional packages will be sent via AnimeNation's standard shipping method. Shipping charges are calculated based on package weight, and are applied to every package sent to you. We always strive to minimize the number of shipments necessary to complete an order. During your checkout process, you may request to have the order "Ship Complete" in one shipment to minimize delivery fees.

While we make every attempt to keep most items in stock at all times, things do sell out. Most items take about a week to restock, imports can take 2 weeks or more. Rest assured we're already working on getting it back in. Please note that while preorder items currently give the same message as an out of stock item. You will find the tentative release date for a preorder item in the details section of the item.

***From time to time an item is delayed due to reprinting (i.e. manufacturer does not have it). In this case it can take weeks or months for a video to come back in. We will make note on these items in such cases when we are informed of extensive delays.

We require that all large orders be traceable and insured. Therefore, if your order exceeds $200, it will be sent via UPS.

In stock items ordered before 2PM EST Monday through Friday normally ship the same day. In stock items ordered after 2PM EST Monday through Friday, on Saturday or Sunday, or on a national holiday normally ship the following business day.

From time to time AnimeNation offers coupons as special incentives. You might find these online, at a convention, in an advertisement, or elsewhere. There are a few things to remember about coupons:

1. They cannot be combined with free shipping offers, as free shipping itself is a coupon.
2. They cannot be combined with other coupons. You have to pick one :)
3. Only one coupon can be placed in the checkout when shopping.

Most economy/standard shipments under 4 pounds ship via USPS postal mail. Shipments over 4 pounds may ship via UPS Ground at our discretion, depending on size, weight, or special requirements. Rates over 4 pounds vary depending on size, weight, destination, special requirements, and method of shipping.

AnimeNation uses real-time UPS rates, which will vary based on weight and destination. The exact charge will be shown in your shopping cart prior to final order confirmation.

Next & Second business day delivery of in stock items is available for orders placed by 2PM EST Monday through Friday. For in stock items ordered after 2PM EST Monday through Friday, on Saturday or Sunday, or on a national holiday, allow one additional business day for delivery. Please Note: UPS does not deliver on weekends.

UPS not available for PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses.

All deliveries to PO Box and APO/FPO addresses are sent via United States Postal Service. UPS does not deliver to these addresses. If your order exceeds 4 pounds, it may be sent it in multiple shipments due to size and weight restrictions.

Orders sent to PO Boxes usually arrive within 2 - 14 days.

Orders sent to APO/FPO addresses are handled by military postal services and may take up to 3 weeks for delivery.

All deliveries to U.S. Territories (including American Samoa, Guam, Marianas Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands) have the option of USPS postal mail up to $200.00. All packages over $200.00 must ship via UPS International Express for tracking and insurance purposes. Shipping costs will vary due to weight and destination. Shipping is shown during the checkout, before final confirmation.

Your order will usually arrive within 7 - 21 days.

Canadian orders may ship via USPS International First Class starting at $6.46. UPS options are also available. All packages over $200.00 must ship via UPS for tracking and insurance purposes. Canadian orders may incur additional customs fees, which UPS will attempt to collect at the time of delivery. We cannot estimate or collect these fees in advance.

If your order exceeds $200 USD, it will be sent via UPS Express for traceability and insurance purposes. UPS Express shipping will cost more than Postal. We reserve the right to refuse shipment to any country for any reason.

Although all shipments are in plain boxes, customs may check any package. AnimeNation is not responsible for orders containing adult items that are seized by customs.

Adult Material to Japan
Due to the strict import laws of Japan, UPS may not be used for orders over $200.00 containing hentai. Orders under $200.00 may be shipped to Japan via USPS International First Class, however this method is not trackable or insured.

With Credit Card Payments:

1. Shop our online store, adding items you would like to purchase to your cart.
2. Go to check out.
3. Select 'Credit Card' as the payment method.
4. Select 'Trade-ins + Payment' from the drop-down list.
   NOTE: You may fill in your credit card number if your trade-ins do not cover your entire purchase.
5. Mail your trade-ins to us along with a printout of your order, or your order number.
6. When we receive your trade-ins, we will verify their condition and process your order.
   We will apply your trade-in credit to your order, and charge your credit card if there is any remaining balance due.

With Money Order Payments:

1. Shop our online store, adding items you would like to purchase to your cart.
2. When checking out, select Money Order.
3. Calculate your total by first checking THIS LIST and deducting the credit for each item you are trading in.
4. Mail your trade-ins to us, along with your remaining payment and a printout of your order, or your order number.
5. When we receive your trade-ins, we will verify their condition and process your order.

Please Note

Orders that include trade-ins will NOT BE PROCESSED until we receive and verify your merchandise. Poor condition, counterfeit/unlicensed, damaged, or otherwise non-sellable items will be returned to you, and may cause delays or even cancellations of your order.

Please note: For large trade-in manga or DVD orders, you don't need to use the form. If it's easier, just count them up and send them in. Many people trade in dozens or even hundreds of manga at once, and we know it can be inconvenient to list them all on the limited space of the trade-in form!

No. Trade-ins must be applied immediately to a new order and only up to the value of the order.

Sorry, trades can only be used towards a new purchase.

This is extremely rare, but no problem. In the unlikely event that this happens, we offer the same guarantee as on new items. We will replace the item with another pre-owned item, or refund your purchase, it's up to you.

We're sorry, but we may not be able to return your trade-ins to you, as they may have been sold or transferred already. The trade-in credit may be used on a another item replacing the ordered item.

In short, you place a link on your site to Animenation, and when someone uses your link and buys something, you get a commission! Standard commissions are currently 8%, so if someone orders something for $100.00, you'll make 8.00!

We pay commissions quarterly now. Once you earn more than 25.00 (please let us know if you would like this threshold to be higher), we'll send you a check on the next fiscal quarter.

The online stats (reached by the link in your affiliate signup email) show you total sales, not commissions. These numbers are subject to change, as we remove canceled or fraudulent orders from the statistics periodically.
